How to write a Kling 3.0 prompt

Kling is strongest at believable motion: bodies, animals, water, snow and cloth moving the way they do in real footage. The best Kling prompts spend their words on the movement and keep everything else short.

  1. Subject plus movement. Say exactly how the subject moves: “sprints, slips on the ice, then catches the railing”.
  2. The scene in a few words. One setting, no long lists of props.
  3. One camera instruction. Kling follows a single clear move (push in, tracking, orbit) far better than a sequence of them.
  4. Light and style. These set the look: phone footage, cinematic or security camera.
  5. A negative prompt. List what you do not want, such as warped hands or on-screen text. The generator writes one that matches your style.

Example Kling prompts

CCTV instant karma
A man in a hoodie grabs a package from a doorstep, turns to run and slips on the wet steps, landing flat on his back. A suburban front porch at dusk. Fixed high-angle security camera view. The camera stays locked off. Lighting: grainy infrared night vision. Style: found footage, compressed low-resolution video, timestamp in the corner.
Character in real life
A large man in a three-piece suit carefully carries a tiny bag of groceries across a busy street, nodding politely at passing cars. A narrow city street outside a corner store. Medium shot. The camera tracks alongside the subject. Lighting: soft overcast daylight. Style: casual vertical phone footage, like a real social media post.

Kling powers most of the video trends in the trending AI prompt library, including CCTV, GoPro and helmet-cam formats.

Kling or another model?

Good to know

Questions,
answered.

Does this work for Kling 2.6 and Kling 3.0?

Yes. Both read the same subject, motion, scene and camera structure. Kling 3.0 follows longer prompts and multi-step motion more reliably and adds 4K.

What is a negative prompt in Kling?

A short list of things you do not want in the clip, such as blurry footage, extra limbs or on-screen text. Paste it into the negative prompt field if your tool has one. If it does not, you can leave it out.

How do I add sound to a Kling video?

Kling 3.0 can generate sound with the video. Describe the sounds and put any spoken line in quotes. In ShortStudio, turn sound on before generating.

Why does my Kling video ignore the camera move?

Usually because the prompt asks for several moves at once or the move fights the action. Pick one camera move and make sure it suits what the subject does.

Is the generator free?

Yes. It is free with no sign-up, and it runs in your browser, so nothing you type is sent to a server.
